Harvest of Hope Gala, September 8
This fundraising event for the American Cancer Society in the Greater Sacramento region is now in its 4th year. More than 350 guests attend the gala each year. This year’s theme is “Moonlight Over Morocco.” The event will be held at the Dalla Terra Estate in Granite Bay. Guests can partake in activities such as a Wine Toss, Silent Auction, Live Auction and Putting Green Challenge. Wine, dinner and non-alcoholic beverages will be served all night. Grill and Chill BBQ, September 15
Come out and enjoy the delicious BBQ flavors at Cameron Park Lake! From 10am to 7pm food, arts & crafts vendors, competitions and live bands will be available. There will be plenty of BBQ sauce to enjoy so bring your appetites and napkins! Vendors will serve tasty meats and veggies, sauces and dry rubs, cornbread, honey and local produce. Live performances from Renegade (a STYX Tribute) and Rockin’ Down the Hiway will get your feet dancing. Kids can play in the Fun Zone while adults compete in BBQ cooking contests. Playing4Peace Festival, September 22
Celebrate the International Day of Peace in Rescue! Bring lawn chairs to relax on while listening to the tunes of D.Motif, Orenda Blu, Ascension, Island of Black and White, Soul Co-Op, Ice House Blues Band and Nathen Aswell. There will also be numerous food booths, a raffle, and wine and beer garden. All this and more will be available at a private residence on 2755 Deer Valley Road in Rescue. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Kids 11 and under can enter for free. A portion of the profits will benefit United Outreach. To buy tickets, call 530-677-2300.
